About Surabaya
Surabaya, the second-largest city in Indonesia, offers an unmissable experience with its vibrant atmosphere, rich history, and unique blend of traditional and modern culture. A standout attraction is the Suramadu Bridge, a majestic 5.4-kilometer bridge connecting Surabaya to the island of Madura, offering breathtaking views of the Java Sea. Visitors also love the city's night market, Pasar Genteng, where they can sample local delicacies and shop for souvenirs under the stars.
The best time to visit Surabaya is during the dry season from May to September, when the weather is warm and sunny. For first-timers, it's a good idea to hire a local guide to navigate the city's maze-like streets and discover its hidden gems, such as the old town's colonial architecture and the majestic Surabaya Cathedral.
